In 2000 year the alumni of the FAR medical fellowship program formed FAR Fellowship Alumni's Association (FAR) FAA.FAR Medical Fellowship program established in 1990, involved 3 month training program in US Medical Institutions. The objective of the program was to introduce doctors from Armenia to the latest western medical techniques, as well as modern concepts of organization, support, financing and administration.
The FAR FAA is a nonprofit organization of medical professionals dedicated to improving the welfare of the community and advancement of the medical sciences.

One of the important programs of FAR FAA is the management of Salzburg Medical Seminars in Armenia.
Salzburg medical seminars program is the initiative of the Open Medical Institute (OMI). The main goal of the program is to educate the health professionals of the countries in transition and improve their professional growth.
From 1994 the health professionals from Armenia are also involved in the program, participating in one week duration seminars in Austria. Later, the participants of the seminars can be involved in one month duration fellowship program in one of the Austrian medical organizations.

The other important program of FAR FAA is the management Continuing Medical Education for Regional Doctors. The program is supported by FAR.
